About Me Analysis 

I chose to write a poem because I knew I could add a rhyming scheme. The reason I intended on doing a rhyming scheme is because my poem is about how I want to run away from where I am. As you rhyme, you increase the pace of which you read at, the speed represents me running. As you read faster towards the end of the poem, it symbolises how I want to run away from where I first started. I decided to keep my language simple and used mostly short sentences as I wanted to make a point rather than drift away describing exactly how I feel. However, I also used short sentences, again, to speed up the pace at which my poem is read at. Also, I have made most of the rhyming words the subject of each sentence to add effect, eg, "decisions, permission,explore, door, mind, behind and most of all me and free."
